Software Update Procedure

Requirements

  • TD-M1 unit
  • Mac or Windows PC
    *Wi-Fi functionality is required.
  • Wi-Fi router
    *It must be connected to the Internet.

Software Update Outline

Download the update file from the ECLIPSE website.

1 Access the ECLIPSE software download page.

2 Click [Download] for the software update to download the update file.
3 Unzip the downloaded file.

Mac : Double-click the downloaded file.
Windows : Right-click the downloaded file and select [Expand All].

Connect the TD-M1 to the Mac or Windows PC in router mode.

To update software, connect the TD-M1 in Router Mode.
1 Turn on the TD-M1's power.
2 After the TD-M1's indicator flashes orange, it will change to one of the following colors.
Lights up blue
Lights up green

Connected in direct mode. Please switch to router mode.

Supplement 1
Flashing red

Could not connect to the Wi-Fi router. Please reset the Wi-Fi.

Supplement 1: To switch from Direct Mode to Router Mode

■When appropriate Wi-Fi setup is not complete (when you connect Wi-Fi for the first time, for example.)

1 Select ECLIPSE TD-M1****** in the Wi-Fi settings of your Mac or Windows PC.

* "******" indicates the product's identification number

2 Open your web browser, and enter “192.168.1.12” in in the address bar.

3 The “TD-M1 Network Audio Device Settings” is opened. Switch the language to English.
4 Click [Network Settings].
5 In the “Access Point Scan” area, select the SSID of your Wi-Fi router to enter the password. Then, tap [Apply].
6 After flashing orange, the TD-M1’s indicator turns blue. It can take up to one minute.

*If the connecting process is not successful, the indicator flashes red. Restart the Wi-Fi setup.
->Supplement 2: In case that the TD-M1’s indicator flashes red

7 This completes the connecting process with Router Mode.

■In case that Wi-Fi setup is already completed

1 Press and hold 「」, and touch「∧」for one second.
2 After flashing orange, the TD-M1’s indicator turns blue. It can take up to one minute.

*If the connecting process is not successful, the indicator flashes red. Restart the Wi-Fi set-up.

3 This completes the connecting process with Router Mode.

Supplement 2: In case that the TD-M1’s indicator flashes red
Connecting process failed in Router Mode.
Switch to Direct mode using the following procedures to set up Wi-Fi again.
1 Press and hold 「」, and touch「∨」for one second.
2 After flashing orange, the TD-M1’s indicator turns green. It may take up to one minute.
3 Proceed to the step Supplement 1, and find the procedure “When appropriate Wi-Fi setup is not set complete.”

3 3 Select your Wi-Fi router in the Wi-Fi settings of your Mac or Windows PC.

Open the "TD-M1 Network Audio Device Settings" screen.

<Mac>
1 Open Safari, and from the menu, click [Safari], then [Environment Settings] to open the environment settings.

* The screen is for Safari 8.
The screen may vary depending on the version you are using.

2 Select [Details], and put a check in [Include Bonjour in the bookmark menu].
3 From the Safari menu, click [Bookmarks], then [Bonjour], and then [ECLIPSE TD-M1 ******].

* "******" indicates the product's identification number.

4 The "TD-M1 Network Audio Device Settings" screen is opened.
<Windows>
1 Open [Computer], then click [Network].

* This screen is for Windows 7.
The screen may vary depending on the OS you are using.

2 Double-click [ECLIPSE TD-M1 ******].

* "******" indicates the product's identification number.

3 The "TD-M1 Network Audio Device Settings" screen is opened.

The version update is performed from the "Software Update" screen.

1 Switch the language to English.
2 Click [Software Update].
3 Click [Next].
4 Click [OK].
5 The TD-M1's indicator will flash white. The TD-M1 restarts and automatically switches the screen. (about 30 seconds to 1 minute.)
Click “click here” when the screen will not automatically change despite of waiting for 1 minute or longer.
6 Click [Select File], then select the update file and click [Next].
* The file name is "TD-M1_FW_***.fw." *** is the version number.
7 Click [Update].
The update starts when you click [Update]. Wait for some time, and do not turn off this device's power.
* When the progress bar reaches near 100%, it will return to 0% again.
This is not a malfunction. Wait for some time, and do not turn off this device's power.
* It can take up to 10 minutes to perform the update.
8 8 When the screen changes to the screen below, the update is complete.
When the update is completed, the TD-M1 will automatically switch to standby (lit up red).
This completes the software update.
