2007 Product of the Year, HiFi+ (Award 2007 Issue) 'This most musical of sub-woofer is quite simply in a class of its own.' |
ECLIPSE TD have taken the 'authentic waveform' to the subwoofer - and a new level. The TD725sw subwoofer eliminates unnecessary energy-sapping vibrations, and thanks to an ultra fast drive-unit, it can reproduce accurate waveforms at low frequencies - something literally unheard of with the traditional 'heavyweight' style of subwoofers.
The difference you can hear is the clear, refined qualities of the ideal spatial listening environment, where every sound, whatever its frequency, is heard in perfect time. When combined with the flagship model TD712z, the result is the ultimate in true spatial reproduction.
What makes all the difference to TD725sw. See inside.
High power and accuracy have become possible thanks to revolutionary design.
Two 25cm drive-units are mounted horizontally back-to-back, connected with an aluminium shaft (patent pending).
A unique in-phase driving system creates a virtual infinite ground anchor. It delivers the stability and rigidity necessary for the ideal piston action.
Special material lets the drive-units float, suppressing unwanted vibration from the enclosure. This and other original technologies make TD725sw the world's finest example of high-speed low-frequency reproduction.
A high-power 500W digital amplifier optimises the performance of the two 25cm drive-units by maximising the internal cubic capacity of the enclosure. It also ensures high linearity and therefore accuracy, even at maximum output levels.
A bypass function for the low pass filter means there's no time delay in low frequencies when dedicated output is available.
A wide choice of input/output connections gives more flexibility for a variety of systems, such as 5.1 surround sound. The XLR input terminals give compatibility with professional AV processors.
